Solomon Elusoji
Journalist
I spend most of my time thinking about journalism. What it really is, how best to do it, and the most effective methods for teaching it.
I’m currently a PhD student at Georgia State University. My primary research work is focused on studying the effects of a Chinese journalism fellowship on African journalists. I also work part-time for Carbon Brief, an award-winning, UK-based publication focused on climate and energy reporting.
In my spare time, when I’m not on the phone with my partner, I’m thinking about how to turn two journalism startups I co-founded with a couple of friends into sustainable journalism institutions.
My conspiracy theory is that artificial intelligence will elevate the importance of journalism in democratic society.
